The Arc of the Arts

Open Opportunity

About

The Arc of the Arts, a program of The Arc of the Capital Area, offers post-secondary art education to indidviduals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Some examples of I/DD include: Down Syndrome, Autism, Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, and seizure disorders. The Arc of the Arts Studio engages artists talents in a variety of media such as painting, drawing, photography, and music, while working to teach social and communication skills. Volunteers are needed to help clients create collaborative pieces and help develop healthy, positive relationships. All talents are welcome! At The Arc, we encourage everyone to #coloroutsidethelines
This program is held Monday—Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with a morning and afternoon shift available.
