This event has been cancelled.

About

Join Concrete Jungle Athens at the BEAUTIFUL Hadden Estate in Watkinsville to pick blueberries for our neighbors experiencing food insecurity! This 24 acre blueberry farm doubles as a wedding venue, complete with beautiful facilities! The Hadden estate is home to over 3,000 berry bushes, so we needs lots of helpin' hands to pick! This is a family friendly event and children are welcome.

Please note that this event is heavily weather dependent; please keep an eye on your email the day of the pick for up-to-date information about any location changes or cancellations.

For this harvests, please bring the following with you:
- sturdy, close-toed shoes
- comfortable clothes you don't mind getting dirty and can move around in!
- A mask! This is optional. However, we strongly encourage the use of masks when it may be difficult to socially distance from other volunteers during a pick or harvest event.
- Water, and plenty of it!
- A pickin' bucket and string if you've got it! If you don't, we'll have extra!

If something comes up and you can't make it to a pick you're registered for, no worries! We rely heavily on volunteers to harvest the fruit we donate, so please be sure to cancel your registration on GivePulse at least 24 hours in advance so someone else can take your spot and we can make sure we have enough helping hands to pick!
